One of the main stopping points when it comes to UI testing automation is the problem of trained staff. If you are starting to automate your processes, some skilled people are needed for a kickoff. Since the plank is pretty high because of numerous UI / CSS regression testing challenges, there are just a few popular options:
- Recruit QA automation stars, which would be pretty costly
- Train your own testers, which would require no less than a month, on average
- Give up and stick to manual testing - as the majority of companies still do :(
- Find a test automation tool which is simple and powerful at the same time, helping to quickly automate at least basic scope of UI testing
Any of these scenarios familiar to you? Care to leave a comment about your own experience or concern?
