TestComplete 9 was announced, the major highlights of the latest release are advanced cross browser testing and HTML5 testing features.

Cross Browser testing, was already supported but now process is simplified and reuse of test cases is available. Record and Play at different browsers type.ย ย This has been made possible with browser independent web keyword test operations and objects for pages, dialogs, object properties such as text, and DOM document object. This simplifies the test structure and frees users from handling browser differences in tests.
HTML5 testing, was not available in the previous version, and now HTML5 new elements are supported with focus on Audio, Video and Graphic. You can analyze those elements and perform the desire testing procedures on their data and information.

Working with Source control, new TestComplete is able to work with CollabNet,ย allowing users to check in TestComplete projects, project suites and project files to Subversion repository directly from TestComplete.
Enhancements for Distributed Testing with Network Suite newly introduced โdeploy modeโ option that helps users automatically copy slave projects from the master computer to appropriate slave computers. The login mechanism has also been changed specifying the way a user opens a session. To help test complex applications smarter and faster a lot of productivity features that impact test creation and analysis have also been added.
Cross Browser testing support: IE,ย ย Mozilla Firefox and Chrome.ย Not supported:browsers used for mobile devices like Apple Safari.
